Smart direct-drive trainer

The Tacx Flux 2 is a smart direct-drive (direct drive) cycling trainer in which the bike is clamped directly to the trainer in place of the rear wheel. This eliminates tyre wear and slip, and power measurement is more stable than on trainers with a roller. The model offers a heavy flywheel, an electromagnetic brake and full compatibility with training apps, making it a more affordable entry into the world of smart direct-drive trainers.

A realistic ride feel

The 7.6 kg flywheel (inertial mass 31.2 kg) ensures smooth pedalling and a natural response when setting off and changing pace. The contactless electromagnetic brake needs no maintenance and allows sprints of up to 2000 W. The trainer simulates climbs of up to 16 %, so it handles even demanding virtual hills.

Power-based training

The trainer measures power, speed and cadence with an accuracy of ±2.5 %. In ERG mode it automatically sets the resistance according to the target power, so you can concentrate just on pedalling and structured training. To maintain accuracy we recommend occasionally performing a calibration (spin down) in the Tacx Training app.

Compatibility and connection

The Flux 2 communicates via ANT+ FE-C and Bluetooth Smart, so it works with Zwift, TrainerRoad, Tacx Training and other apps. It can be controlled from a phone, tablet, computer or an ANT+ bike computer. It fits road, gravel and mountain bikes with a quick release or a thru axle.
