The basis of the Vision Metron 40 SL Disc CL Tubular wheels are 40mm deep aerodynamic tubular rims made of UD carbon.

The specific "U" rim profile was developed on the basis of extensive CFD analyses and tested in a wind tunnel. It guarantees excellent handling and wheel stiffness in any conditions, especially when riding in crosswinds.

The wheels are built on second-generation Vision disc hubs equipped with P.R.A. (Preload Reduction Assembly) technology and quality bearings to minimise friction and maximise the efficiency of energy transfer on a 17mm internal axle.

The changes come in the freehub body area, which has a 5mm larger distance between the bearings and wider pawls.

The front wheel has a lacing consisting of 21 spokes.

The rear wheel has 24 spokes.

The duralumin freehub body is compatible with FSA, Shimano and SRAM 9/10/11-speed road cassettes.

The wheels are supplied together with a transport bag and Vision QR-93 quick release axles.

The package also includes reducers for the front hub for 12x100mm and 15x100mm axles, and for the rear hub for 12x135mm and 12x142mm axles.

Weight 1500g.

The minimum recommended tubular tyre width is 23mm.
