The grooved slick design of the Maxxis DTH (Drop the Hammer) tyre is suited to a variety of conditions in BMX, dirt jumping and pump track riding.

Drop-The-Hammer, aka DTH, is a great dirt tyre developed for BMX racing at the summer Olympic Games in Beijing. Its strengths are low weight, excellent acceleration and outstanding traction on hard surfaces, whether in a skatepark, on a BMX track or on natural obstacles in a dirt park.

• Silkworm – a technology based on an exclusive material added beneath the tread of the tyre, which increases resistance to punctures and tearing
• Dual Compound – a harder centre compound (62a) ensures low rolling resistance with slow wear, while the softer compound (57a) used on the sides offers excellent sidewall conformability and great cornering grip, whether in the rain or in the dry
