Campagnolo cassette Ekar 13s 9-36T

The EKAR 13s cassettes are built on 2 separate blocks. The first (smaller) block consists of 4 cogs, the second block of the remaining 9 cogs.

2 materials are used in the production of the cassettes: the cog carriers are made of a lightweight duralumin alloy, and for the toothed part of the cogs a special, heat-treated carbon steel with a nickel-chrome surface finish was used, which significantly reduces friction and at the same time gives the cassette optimal service life when riding on gravel.

Two of the three supplied cassette combinations start with a 9-tooth cog. Extensive comparative tests have proven that using a 9-tooth cog is just as efficient as using any 10- or 11-speed cog. Therefore there is no need to worry about increased friction. With a 9 tooth cog you will not lose any of the power you produce!

The EKAR cassettes are intended exclusively for fitting on the completely new freewheel body designated N3W. This body has an identical spline to the Campagnolo 9s/10s/11s/12s cassettes, but is 4.4 mm shorter and therefore also lighter. At present use exclusively with built Shamal Carbon C21 carbon wheels.
