Campagnolo brake rotor AFS 140 mm

The Campagnolo AFS (Axial Fitting System, identical to Shimano Center Lock) brake rotor with a diameter of 140 mm and a thickness of 1.85 mm is made of stainless steel and is mounted on a steel 6-arm carrier, which brings an ideal compromise between stiffness, weight and heat dissipation generated during intensive braking.

In the production of the brake rotors, the technology patented by Campagnolo, designated SFF (Semi Floating Fitting), was used to connect the rotor with the carrier. The carrier is connected to the rotor with special rivets so that a slight play in the front-rear direction (not lateral play!) is created. This solution significantly increases heat dissipation and reduces the related deformation of the brake rotor.

The rotor with a diameter of 140 mm is intended exclusively for the rear brake, i.e. it cannot be placed in the front brake caliper.

Campagnolo placed great emphasis on safety and for this reason chose a circular rotor shape, which is the safest from the point of view of possible injury. At the same time it rounded the edge of the rotor in such a way that Campagnolo rotors can now be considered the safest on the market.
