Rechargeable Panasonic Lithium-ion battery 4.2 V/550 mAh.

The battery has no memory effect, so charge it to the maximum without worry after every use. If you discharge it to the minimum, recharge it as soon as possible. Storing a completely discharged light shortens the battery life.

If you are not using the light, the manufacturer recommends charging the battery in the light at least 1x every 4 months.

The electronics fully control charging and discharging, including the battery status indication, and protect it from overcharging or complete discharge.
