The Mavic Crossmax XL 29 rear built wheel is designed for trail and all-mountain riding in demanding terrain. The rim made of light and strong Maxtal aluminium alloy has an internal width of 30 mm, which provides an optimal profile and support for modern wider tyres. It is ready for the UST Tubeless Ready tubeless system and fitted with a durable Black Shield surface treatment protecting the aluminium surface from scratches and stone impacts.

The construction uses the technology of integrated Fore nipples and lacing of 24 straight flat spokes (straight pull) with double butting. The lacing is crossed twice and non-contact, which prevents unwanted friction and spoke breakage under tension. The hub features an aluminium thru axle of the Boost 12×148 mm standard, quality QRM Auto industrial bearings with automatic play adjustment and the reliable ratchet Instant Drive 360 freehub mechanism with a SRAM XD freehub body.

The wheel is fitted with a 6-bolt rotor mounting.
