The Mavic Crossmax rear built 29" wheel is a reliable and stiff model designed for cross-country (XC) riding. It builds on proven Mavic technologies that ensure efficient power transfer and trouble-free maintenance.

The basis of the wheel is a welded rim made of light and durable Maxtal aluminium alloy with an internal width of 25 mm. The rim in the Tubeless Ready design comes from the factory with pre-installed tubeless tape and a tubeless valve, which eases the switch to a tubeless system for higher traction, comfort and minimised punctures.

At the centre of the wheel is an aluminium hub of Infinity construction with automatically adjusting QRM Auto industrial bearings, which ensure smooth running without the need for manual play adjustment. Fast response to a pedal stroke is provided by the ratchet mechanism of the Instant Drive 360 freehub body. The wheel is fitted with a freehub body of the SRAM XD standard for modern 11- and 12-speed cassettes and with a 6-bolt rotor mounting.

The quality lacing consists of 24 straight steel spokes (straight pull) with a flat profile and double butting, crossed twice. Steel nipples with the ABS system prevent unintentional loosening while riding.
