The Mavic Crossmax rear built 29" wheel brings reliability and stiffness for cross-country as well as sporty off-road riding. The basis is a durable welded rim made of premium Maxtal aluminium alloy with an internal width of 25 mm, which provides firm support for modern tyres. The Tubeless Ready design allows the use of a tubeless system that offers better grip, higher ride comfort and a lower risk of punctures.

The Infinity hub with an aluminium axle uses QRM Auto industrial bearings with automatic play adjustment, which ensure smooth running with minimal maintenance requirements. Fast and precise engagement is provided by the ratchet mechanism of the Instant Drive 360 freehub body. The lacing consists of 24 straight, flat and double-butted steel spokes (straight pull) with a double cross, held in steel nipples with ABS technology preventing self-loosening.
