The Mavic Crossmax 27.5 Boost front built wheel is designed for cross-country (XC) and builds on the proven durability of the Crossmax model line. The rim construction is made of a light and strong Maxtal aluminium alloy with a welded joint and an internal width of 25 mm. The rim is optimised for tubeless tyres (Tubeless Ready), allowing riding at lower pressure for better traction and a reduced risk of punctures.
The wheel uses an Infinity hub with an aluminium axle and sealed industrial QRM Auto bearings, which self-adjust automatically and ensure smooth running without developing play. The lacing is made of 24 flat butted steel spokes (straight pull), crossed twice and seated in steel nipples with the ABS system against self-loosening.
