Low weight, durability and outstanding lateral stiffness – that is the new Ksyrium SL, which once again raises the standard among aluminium road wheels.

The Mavic Ksyrium SL rear road built wheel for rim brakes is a top aluminium model that combines low weight, high lateral stiffness and reliability for everyday training and sporty rides.

The basis is a rim made of lightweight Maxtal aluminium alloy with a profile 22 mm deep and an internal width of 19 mm. It allows the use of classic tyres with an inner tube as well as the UST Tubeless Ready tubeless system with Mavic Tubeless Tape rim tape. The Fore technology with integrated aluminium nipples strengthens the construction and ensures high lacing durability.

The rear wheel is fitted with 20 straight-pull spokes with an elliptical aerodynamic profile and double butting. The specific Isopulse lacing optimises spoke tension between the right and left sides of the hub and guarantees efficient energy transfer when pushing on the pedals.

The hub with an aluminium axle for a classic quick release (9×130 mm QR) uses QRM Auto sealed industrial bearings with automatic play adjustment. Fast engagement response is provided by the Instant Drive 360 ratchet freewheel system with a fitted freehub body for Shimano HG and SRAM cassettes.
