Mavic built wheelset KSYRIUM S Shimano 11

The Mavic KSYRIUM S road built wheelset is a reliable and lightweight solution for road bikes with conventional rim brakes. It combines proven Mavic materials and construction technologies that guarantee high stiffness, durability and easy maintenance.

The wheels are based on aluminium rims made of Maxtal alloy with a profile height of 22 mm and an internal width of 19 mm. The rims use integrated Fore nipple technology, in which the spoke is screwed directly into the lower bridge of the rim. The upper wall of the rim therefore stays intact, which increases the strength of the construction and makes UST Tubeless Ready tubeless use easier, because no tubeless tape is needed in the rim.

The front wheel uses radial lacing with 18 spokes, while the rear wheel has Isopulse lacing with 20 spokes. This lacing method evens out the tension between the right and left side of the rear wheel and ensures instant power transfer when pedalling. Flat, double-butted spokes with a Straight pull mounting system are used, which minimise the risk of breaking at the bend.

The aluminium hubs are fitted with QRM Auto industrial bearings with automatic play compensation. The toothed Instant Drive 360 (ID360) freewheel system with a freehub body for Shimano and Sram cassettes provides reliable and quick engagement.
