The Ranger MTB tyre rules equally well on the trail and in XC. The tightly spaced centre knobs set the pace, while the open outer ones effortlessly devour corners and shed mud. The Ranger holds whether it is a technical climb or flying into corners. The slim profile of the 2.0 / 2.25 version provides optimal efficiency for XC racing, while the large volume of the 2.4 version was created for trails. The Ranger excels in all conditions without compromise.
New WTB tyre protection – SG2
In addition to low weight, the SG2 tyre protection provides excellent protection against punctures and flats. This new protective layer is lightweight and contains an ultra-thin nylon insert that covers the entire surface of the tyre from bead to bead. You can thus head out onto any surface without fear of punctures.
How much more durable are the new tyres with SG2? Laboratory tests show that adding the SG2 protective layer provides 33% better sidewall protection and 17% better tread protection than standard 60 TPI tyres without SG2. That is why WTB comes with durable tyres that will hold you up on any surface.
