WTB tyre VULPINE 700x36 TCS Light Fast Rolling SG2 (black)
The Vulpine is the latest racing addition to the line of popular WTB gravel tyres.
Product description
The Vulpine is the latest racing addition to the line of popular WTB gravel tyres. The tightly spaced centre pattern forms an almost uninterrupted centre line to reduce rolling resistance, while the rest of the tread is full of short protrusions that further increase efficiency, minimise the chance of punctures and provide predictable cornering traction. The Vulpine prioritises maximum efficiency without sacrificing traction when climbing or braking. It is the perfect tyre for gravel racers and everyday riders looking for a great tyre that stands out on many surfaces.
New WTB tyre protection – SG2
In addition to low weight, the SG2 tyre protection provides excellent protection against punctures and flats. Such tyres have a high value of 120 TPI – i.e. the number of threads per 1 inch (threads per inch), which expresses the density of the threads in the tyre casing. This new protective layer is lightweight and contains an ultra-thin nylon insert that covers the entire surface of the tyre from bead to bead. You can thus head out onto any surface without fear of punctures.
How much more durable are the new tyres with SG2? Laboratory tests show that adding the SG2 protective layer provides 33% better sidewall protection and 17% better tread protection than standard 60 TPI tyres without SG2. Gravel rides are becoming more and more frequent and longer. Riders are not scared off even by demanding terrain. That is why WTB comes with durable tyres that will hold you up on any surface.
