Look pedals X-TRACK RACE CARBON (black)

Look pedals X-TRACK RACE CARBON (black)

Product description

The LOOK X-Track Race Carbon is an MTB pedal with a wide contact area that ensures optimal power transfer. This large area also keeps your foot from sliding on the pedal and ensures that pedal engagement is always consistent and secure.

Thanks to its carbon body, the LOOK X-Track Race Carbon is an extremely light pedal weighing just 175 grams. An SPD pedal has to respond to a multitude of different situations. Outside conditions affect how the pedals work. All the energy a cyclist produces is transferred to the MTB through the pedals, so their role is crucial. LOOKs goal was to find a solution that would allow the most efficient transfer of the riders energy. That is why the ratio of weight to contact area plays the primary role in the X-Track Race Carbon. The side contact support guides the foot when looking for the pedal and provides a contact point even when the shoe is not yet clipped in. This wide contact area prevents the foot from sliding over the pedal body and offers consistent and secure support.

BEST POWER-TO-WEIGHT RATIO
An SPD pedal has to respond to a multitude of different situations. Outside conditions affect how the pedals work. All the energy a cyclist produces is transferred to the MTB through the pedals, so their role is crucial. That is why LOOK decided that the ratio of weight to contact area would play the primary role in the product specification.

MECHANISM GEOMETRY
The mechanism works regardless of outside conditions (in mud the forces differ significantly from those encountered in dry conditions), and the larger space allows better clearing of various kinds of debris (mud, sand...). These zones give the user a constant, stable feeling of secure engagement in all conditions.
