The 29" Mavic Crossmax SLS built wheelset is a top-class solution for modern cross-country (XC), where low weight on climbs and stability on technical descents are decisive. The rims are made of lightweight Maxtal aluminium alloy and thanks to the patented ISM 4D machining, excess material is removed where it is not needed, which reduces rim weight and improves acceleration without losing stiffness. The durable Black Shield finish effectively protects the rim from abrasion and scratches from flying stones.

Rims with an internal width of 25 mm are fully ready for tubeless use (Clincher Tubeless Ready). The integrated threaded Fore nipples screw directly into the lower bridge of the rim, which leaves the upper wall intact and airtight without the need to apply a tubeless tape.

The wheels are laced on Mavic Infinity hubs with 24 flat double-butted steel straight pull spokes. The non-contact double crossing eliminates unwanted noise under power. The rear hub uses the proven Instant Drive 360 freehub system with quick engagement and trouble-free power transfer. The automatically adjusted QRM Auto industrial bearings ensure smooth running with minimal rolling resistance without the need to adjust play manually.
