Smart direct-drive trainer with a moving base

The Tacx NEO 3M is a smart direct-drive (direct drive) cycling trainer that follows on from the popular NEO 2T model. The main novelty is the built-in moving plates, thanks to which the bike moves naturally forward, backward and sideways while riding. Training in one place is thus more comfortable and closer to riding outdoors. The trainer works on the principle of a magnetic brake with a virtual flywheel, is very quiet and needs no calibration.

Movement like on the road

The integrated moving plates allow the bike to move 2.5 cm forward and 2.5 cm backward (5 cm in total). They complement the trainer’s natural side tilt, which is more symmetrical than on the NEO 2T. The movement relieves the saddle area, wrists and back on longer rides. If you prefer a fixed position, you can lock the movement with the rotary knobs on the rear legs.
