The Mavic E-Deemax S 29 front built wheel is engineered specifically for the higher load and specific dynamic demands of e-bikes (e-MTB). The structural basis is a rim made of durable Maxtal aluminium alloy with an internal width of 30 mm and a height of 22 mm. The rim is lightened by precise ISM milling in areas away from the spoke attachment and protected by a Black Shield surface treatment, which increases resistance to scratches and impacts from flying stones.

For protecting the tyre and rim there is the PFP (Pinch Flat Protection) technology, which widens the contact surface of the upper rim edges and fundamentally reduces the risk of the tyre pinching on impact. The wide internal profile and the shape of the centre channel ease the fitting of stiff tyres with a robust casing. Thanks to the tape-free UST Tubeless Ready tubeless solution with Fore technology, where the nipples are screwed directly into the lower bridge of the rim, the upper wall of the rim stays undrilled and there is no need to apply sealing tubeless tape.

The front wheel hub is designed for a Boost 15×110 mm standard thru axle and is fitted with sealed industrial QRM Auto bearings with automatic play adjustment, which ensure smooth running and a long service life without the need for frequent adjustment. The Center Lock interface is used for mounting the brake rotor. The lacing consists of 28 straight steel spokes (straight-pull) with a flat butted profile and anti-rotation protection, laced with a triple cross.
