The Mavic E-Deemax S 27.5 front built wheel is designed and engineered specifically for the high demands and loads of modern e-bikes. The basis is a strong rim made of Maxtal alloy with an internal width of 30 mm and a height of 22 mm. The construction uses ISM milling technology, which removes excess material between the nipples to reduce rotating weight without sacrificing strength. The Black Shield surface finish protects the rim from scratches and impacts from flying stones.

The rim is adapted for tubeless tyres in the UST Tubeless Ready system. The wide centre channel eases fitting even very stiff tyres with a durable casing. Thanks to the widened edges of the rim sidewalls, PFP (Pinch Flat Protection) technology significantly reduces the risk of cutting the tyre or pinching the tube on impact with an obstacle. The Fore threaded nipple mounting directly into the lower bridge of the rim leaves the upper wall solid, so tubeless tape does not need to be used.

The lacing consists of 28 steel flat spokes with a butted profile and anti-rotation technology, laced with a triple cross for reliable transfer of braking forces. The hub with an aluminium axle rotates on sealed industrial QRM Auto bearings with automatic play adjustment. The wheel is designed for a Boost 15×110 mm thru axle and disc brakes with the Center Lock system.
