The 29" Mavic Crosstrail SL built wheels are a highly durable pair designed for modern trail riding. The Maxtal alloy aluminium rim with an internal width of 30 mm and a height of 22 mm uses FORE and PFP (Pinch Flat Protection) technologies. FORE technology enables tapeless operation without having to apply a sealing tape in the rim, while the PFP profile effectively protects the rim and tyre against pinch flats in rocky terrain. ISM4D material lightening reduces the rims rotating weight without losing strength, which makes the wheel easier to accelerate and handle.

At the centre of the built wheels are hubs with INFINITY construction, which in combination with the low weight of the rims ensure immediate power transfer and brisk acceleration. The rear hub has a reliable toothed Instant Drive 360 freewheel mechanism and a freehub body for Shimano Micro Spline cassettes. Smooth running with a long service life is provided by sealed QRM Auto industrial bearings with automatic play compensation.

The wheels are laced with straight, extra flat steel spokes with anti-rotation protection (antirot). The front wheel has 24 double-crossed spokes, the rear wheel 28 triple-crossed spokes. The set is adapted for Boost thru axles and brake discs with the Center Lock system.
