The Mavic Crosstrail SL 29 front built wheel is engineered for demanding trail riding where durability, dynamics and precise tracking are key. The basis is a durable rim made of light Maxtal aluminium alloy with an internal width of 30 mm and a profile height of 22 mm. Thanks to the patented ISM4D machining, the rim is lightened in unloaded areas, which noticeably reduces rotating weight and ensures instant acceleration and easy handling of the bike in technical sections.

The FORE rim threading technology allows nipples to be screwed directly into the lower wall of the rim without compromising the upper bridge. The rim is therefore stiffer and works without the need to install sealing tubeless tape. The PFP (Pinch Flat Protection) design widens the contact edge of the rim and significantly minimises the risk of the tyre pinching on impact with a rock or root. The wheel uses the UST Tubeless Ready tubeless standard for high traction and the ability to ride at lower pressures.

The aluminium hub with INFINITY architecture optimises the geometry and lacing tension and prevents contact between crossed spokes, which eliminates unwanted noises on engagement. Sealed industrial QRM Auto bearings with automatic preload adjustment ensure reliable and smooth running without developing play.
