Ride Concepts men”s VICE shoes (black)

Slopestyle, BMX, Friday beer with friends - those are the disciplines in which the Vice excels. Kyle Strait, multiple Red Bull Rampage winner, took great care during development.

The entire construction, including the High Grip sole, was adjusted so that riders have close contact with the pedal and just enough grip for the foot to stay where it should, yet still allow movement on the pedal during demanding tricks and landings. The completely original sole pattern, which changes from the toe towards the heel, is also adapted to this.

Foot protection was not neglected. The toe has a rigid TPU toe-bump guard inside, but above all the insole contains a protector made of D3O smart foam. Ride Concepts is the only manufacturer to use D3O technology across several models. Everyone surely knows D3O from bike protective gear (Race Face, Bluegrass…). The insole has integrated D3O protectors in the heel and toe footstrike area to protect against impacts or an under-jumped double and the resulting heel stomp. Thanks to D3O the foot is less tired and less prone to bruising. You will not find this technology anywhere else!

The construction of the Vice and Vice Mid models is identical to the Livewire, where the sole flows seamlessly into the upper and the join is ensured by a combination of welding and stitching. Whereas the Tallac, Hellion, Accomplice, Transition etc. models use a different construction made up, in order, of sole, midsole and upper. That one is more suitable for more performance-oriented riders and disciplines.

Tightening with anti-slip laces. The tongue has a loop on it for stowing the laces so that they do not move around freely and cannot come into contact with the bike or catch on an obstacle. The tongue is elastically attached to the shoe construction so that it stays in place and prevents dirt from getting in.
