WTB tyre VULPINE S 700x45 TCS Light Fast Rolling SG (black)
The Vulpine S is the fastest racing semi-slick gravel tyre that WTB makes. The smooth centre line reduces rolling resistance, while the round tyre profile is fitted with short, tightly spaced knobs that provide predictable cornering traction on hard terrain. The tyre has been sufficiently tested in the harsh conditions of the 8-day Transcordilleras bikepacking gravel race in Colombia or in the gruelling 200 miles of Unbound Gravel in Kansas.
WTB tyre protection – SG2
In addition to low weight, the SG2 tyre protection provides excellent protection against punctures and flats. Such tyres have a high value of 120 TPI – i.e. the number of threads per 1 inch (threads per inch), which expresses the density of the threads in the tyre casing. This new protective layer is lightweight and contains an ultra-thin nylon insert that covers the entire surface of the tyre from bead to bead. You can thus head out onto any surface without fear of punctures.
How much more durable are the new tyres with SG2? Laboratory tests show that adding the SG2 protective layer provides 33% better sidewall protection and 17% better tread protection than standard 60 TPI tyres without SG2. Gravel rides are becoming more and more frequent and longer. Riders are not scared off even by demanding terrain. That is why WTB comes with durable tyres that will hold you up on any surface.
For the tyre packaging, 100% recycled and recyclable plastic-free packaging is used.
