A tyre for the steepest climbs.

The Schwalbe Shredda tyre is available in a front and a rear version. A radial casing is part of both versions. As with the Albert, it allows a larger contact patch and thereby significantly filters out impacts. Thanks to local deformation both versions literally suck themselves onto the ground. The tread depth is somewhat lower than on the Shredda Front tyre, but it has greater stability. The tread pattern has been optimised for the radial casing: an open pattern with a siping effect and a high tread depth for excellent interlocking. Especially on soft surfaces a large amount of braking and driving force is generated.

With our radial tyres we are turning the MTB world upside down. In their development we always asked ourselves the following question: How can the limited contact patch of a tyre be used as well as possible?

The basis is a completely redesigned casing construction. The casing threads, which in ordinary bicycle tyres run diagonally across the tyre at an angle of 45°, are arranged in our radial tyres at a much more obtuse angle. This technology opens up entirely new dimensions in the function of bicycle tyres.
