Park Tool DT-5.2 Disc Brake Mount Facing Set
The precise tolerances of modern disc brakes on a bike require precise alignment of all components to ensure correct function, yet the brakes on many frames and forks are often poorly aligned. The Park Tool DT-5.2 is a precision tool system designed to accurately face the disc brake mounting points so that they are perfectly aligned with the rotor. The DT-5.2 can face any IS mount, post mount or flat mount style of brake mounts, including those with low clearance on the chainstays. The supplied telescoping hub adapters allow use with any configuration of open or thru-axle dropouts and fork widths (including Boost 110, Boost 148 and all fat bike hubs). A professional solution for the necessary preparation step when preparing a frame.
DT-5.2 features
- Faces any IS mount, post mount or flat mount, including mounts with low clearance for the chainstays
- Includes four telescoping hub adapters for use with open or thru-axle forks of any width
- Includes two milling tools compatible with IS mounts, post and flat mounts
- Supplied in a practical carrying case
The DT-5 can be upgraded to the DT-5.2 version by purchasing the DT-5UK Upgrade Kit.
Note: Although Park Tool tools such as cutters, drills and taps are compatible with most frame materials used in the cycling industry, high-performance materials such as carbon fibre and titanium may wear these tools faster than steel or aluminium. For carbon brake mounts, use of the diamond-abrasive adapter 2197 is recommended.
