Brake rotors should be inspected regularly for wear to ensure safety and correct function.
The DCA-1 attaches to most digital, dial or vernier calipers (including the Park Tool DC-2) and has protruding contact points that allow the centre of the braking surface to be measured. This bypasses the unworn edge and ensures an accurate measurement.
The tapered ends of the DCA-1 can also be used to measure centre-to-centre distances between bolt holes to calculate the bolt circle diameter (BCD) of chainrings and cranks.
