AskPark Tool RC-1 Press Fit Retaining Compound
The Park Tool RC-1 is used to prepare non-threaded parts, such as bottom bracket cups, sealed bearings and other press-fit components. During curing the RC-1 expands and hardens, filling gaps and ensuring a firm assembly.

WARNING: When a retaining compound or thread locker is used on carbon fibre frames or components, an adhesion primer such as Park Tool AP-1 must first be applied to all surfaces of the components, bolts and frame. Failure to do so may result in the parts being permanently bonded together.
CAUTION: Some painted surfaces may be sensitive to thread lockers, retaining compounds and primers. Test first on an inconspicuous spot to see whether they cause stains or discolouration. Wipe any excess off painted surfaces immediately.
