Park Tool CRS-1 Crown Race Setting System
Park Tool CRS-1 – Professional fork crown race installation set
The CRS-1 is a professional tool set designed for installing lower bearings (so-called crown races) on forks with steerers with diameters of 1" and 1 1/8".
Using a long, sturdy guide tube, one of the included drifts (drifts) and a hammer or rubber mallet (not included), the CRS-1 allows the bearing race to be safely and precisely seated in the correct position.
The package includes six specially shaped drifts:
- 3 pcs for a diameter of 1"
- 3 pcs for a diameter of 1 1/8"
These drifts are designed to be compatible with most shapes and designs of bearing races.
Each drift is made of anodised aluminium, which prevents damage to the bearing itself or the fork.
CRS-1 features
Compatibility:
- Steerer tubes (fork steerers) with a diameter of 1" or 1 1/8" (25.4 to 28.6 mm)
- SHIS sizes: 26, 27 and 30
- Steerer tube length of up to 340 mm
Note: The steerer tube diameter for the purpose of pressing on the bearing race is measured at the base of the fork (where the race is seated).
For larger diameters 1 1/4" or 1 1/2" use the Park Tool CRS-15.2.
