A correctly tensioned wheel is stronger and stays true for longer. The TM-1 spoke tension meter is an essential tool for achieving the correct tension and should be part of the kit of anyone who builds or trues wheels, diagnoses wheel problems or assembles new wheels.

Measurement with the TM-1 helps to estimate the relative spoke tension of the wheel and identify areas of high or low tension. Using the included printed table or the Park Tool Wheel Tension app, this measurement can be converted to kilograms-force, which makes it possible to calculate the total wheel tension and ensure it is at the correct level. The Wheel Tension app also offers interactive tools for visualising and analysing various data based on TM-1 values.

The TM-1 can accurately measure force in kilograms for almost any wheel spoke regardless of material, diameter or shape. A spoke gauge is included for quickly determining the six most common diameters of round spokes (for flat spokes an additional measuring tool may be needed).

The TM-1 is made in the USA and can be completely disassembled, rebuilt and recalibrated, which guarantees reliable function for life.
