The Mavic Ksyrium SL Disc (R00017803) rear wheel is designed for road cyclists using Shimano or SRAM cassettes with an HG freehub body.

The Mavic Aksium 1 Disc rear built road wheel comes in an updated version with a wider aluminium rim that better suits modern trends towards wider tyres.

The rim made of S6000 alloy has an internal width of 21 mm and a height of 21 mm. The wider profile gives tyres better support, which increases ride comfort and stability when handling the bike. The construction allows use both with classic tyres and an inner tube and in tubeless mode (UST Tubeless Ready when using Mavic sealing tape).

At the heart of the rear hub is the Instant Drive 360 (ID360) ratchet freehub system. It stands out for high reliability, fast engagement, effective sealing and easy maintenance without the need for tools. Smooth running without unwanted play is provided by sealed industrial QRM Auto bearings with self-adjusting play compensation.

The lacing consists of 24 steel spokes with a classic bend (J-bend) laced in two crossings, which eases any servicing and replacement. The wheel is ready for disc brakes with the Center Lock mounting system and for a 12×142 mm thru axle.
