The AUTHOR by Tacx BIO cycling bottle is made from polyethylene with bio-additives. These additives change the bottles molecular structure. This does not affect use, because the process only begins once the bottle has been disposed of in a landfill. At the right temperature it is activated and the bottle breaks down into water, humus and gas. The process takes one to five years.
