Look X-Track pedals (Metalic Grey)
The LOOK X-Track is an MTB pedal with the best weight-to-contact-area ratio on the market. The side support guides the foot when searching for the pedal and provides a contact point even when the shoe has not yet clipped in. This surface prevents the foot from slipping and offers support.
The X-Track is the basic LOOK MTB pedal model, made up of a robust aluminium body and a double-sealed axle made of Chromoly. It ensures absolute smoothness throughout the pedal stroke. The preload can be adjusted easily and quickly in the range 6 to 14 according to the cyclists requirements. The pedals combine the standard SPD mechanism with a wide contact surface for efficiency and safety.
THE BEST POWER-TO-WEIGHT RATIO
An SPD pedal has to respond to a multitude of different situations. External conditions affect how pedals work. All the energy a cyclist produces is transferred to the MTB through the pedals. Their role is therefore crucial. LOOKs aim was to find a solution that would allow the most efficient transfer of the riders energy. That is why LOOK decided that the ratio of weight to contact area would play the primary role in the product specification.
GEOMETRIE MECHANISMU
The mechanism works regardless of external conditions (in mud the forces differ significantly from those found in dry conditions) – the larger space allows better clearing of various debris (mud, sand...). These zones give the user a constant, stable feeling of secure engagement in all conditions.
