Product information

The Sidekick hub is a revolutionary milestone in mountain biking. Designed and tested with the worlds best teams and racers over several seasons, the Sidekick Hub promises to improve the suspension performance of any full-suspension mountain bike. Its groundbreaking freehub mechanism disconnects the drivetrain from the rear wheel when coasting, and the adjustable deadband filters chain recoil and vibrations before they reach the pedals, virtually eliminating pedal feedback to the suspension. With the drive mechanism disengaged from the ratchet ring, drag is greatly reduced. The result is perfectly smooth riding even in the most demanding terrain, improved traction, increased speed and control, and reduced fatigue. Its almost silent operation immerses you in the outdoor riding experience, and you will hear nothing but the wind in your ears and the tyres on the trail.

• The adjustable pawl allows the deadband to be set without tools within a range of 12°, 15° and 18° according to rider preference, bike type and terrain.
• Chain tension filtered by the deadband ensures that the suspension is not restricted by the drag caused by pedal kickback, resulting in improved, more consistent performance and easier setup.
