The Mavic Crossmax S Carbon 29 rear built wheel is designed for cross-country and light trail riding. The rim construction made of 100% UD carbon uses the Adaptive Layup technology, which optimises fibre layering to achieve high lateral stiffness while keeping very low weight and the necessary comfort off-road.

The carbon rim with an internal width of 30 mm is fully ready for tubeless use (UST Tubeless Ready). The wider profile provides stable tyre support at lower pressure, which improves traction and bike handling in technical sections.

The rim is laced onto the Mavic Infinity hub using standard bent spokes (J-bend), which simplifies maintenance and the availability of spare parts. Power transfer is provided by the Instant Drive 360 ratchet freehub body with fast engagement, reliable running and undemanding maintenance. The industrial bearings with the QRM Auto system adjust their play automatically without the need for manual adjustment.

The wheel is in the version for a Boost thru axle 12×148 mm, with Center Lock brake disc mounting, and is fitted with a Shimano HG standard freehub body.
