The 29" Mavic Crossmax Ultimate racing built wheels are a top-tier carbon set for modern cross-country and downcountry courses. With a total weight of just 1080 g, they offer exceptional acceleration, low rotational inertia and the high stiffness needed for precise control in demanding terrain.
The rims made of 100% carbon fibre have an internal width of 30 mm and a profile height of 25 mm. The wider rim profile gives modern tyres with a width of 47 to 71 mm stable support, reduces the risk of them rolling off in corners and allows lower pressures for greater grip and riding comfort. The rims are UST Tubeless Ready with a tubeless tape installed at the factory.
The lacing consists of 20 straight round spokes on both the front and rear wheel, laced with a double-cross pattern. Titanium nipples save weight and seat the spokes reliably. The hubs with aluminium axles are fitted with premium Mavic Ceramic ceramic bearings, which guarantee smooth running and minimal rolling resistance.
Power is transferred by the lightweight Instant Drive 360 Light ratchet freewheel mechanism with 40 teeth for instant engagement when pedalling. The wheel is fitted with a Shimano Micro Spline freehub body for 12-speed cassettes. The set is designed for discs with the Center Lock system and for the Boost frame and fork standard.
