The Mavic Comete 55 Disc rear road aero wheel combines excellent aerodynamics and high stiffness for maximum speed on flats and rolling terrain. The full-carbon rim with a depth of 55 mm has a modern internal width of 25 mm, optimised for wider tyres (from 30 mm up), with tubeless use possible thanks to UST Tubeless Ready technology.

Smooth running with minimal rolling resistance is provided by premium ceramic bearings. Instant power transfer to the pedalling is provided by the Instant Drive 360 freewheel mechanism with a 40-tooth ratchet. The wheel is designed for a 12×142 mm thru axle and disc brakes with the Center Lock mounting system.

The lacing consists of 21 straight aerodynamic spokes optimised in a wind tunnel for the lowest possible rotational air drag. On the drive side a 2× crossed lacing is used for high durability under load, while the opposite side has radial lacing for even tension balance and stability.
