The Mavic COMETE 55F/65R DISC CENTERLOCK XDR carbon road built wheels are an aerodynamic set with different rim profiles. The front rim with a depth of 55 mm ensures stability in crosswinds and precise handling, while the rear rim with a depth of 65 mm maximises aerodynamic efficiency at high speeds. The internal rim width of 25 mm and the UST Tubeless Ready system provide ideal support for modern wider tyres from 30 mm wide with the option of tubeless use.

The wheels are laced with 21 straight aero spokes at the front and rear, which were tuned in a wind tunnel to achieve the lowest possible rotational drag. To balance spoke tension and increase durability and stability, a double-crossed lacing is used on the more heavily loaded side (the disc side at the front and the cassette side at the rear), while the opposite side has radial lacing.

The hubs are fitted with premium ceramic bearings with minimal rolling resistance. The rear hub uses the Instant Drive 360 ratchet system with 40 teeth for instant power transfer and is fitted with a SRAM XDR freehub body for modern 12-speed road cassettes.
