Mavic front wheel COMETE 85 DISC CENTERLOCK

The Mavic COMETE 85 DISC CENTERLOCK front built wheel brings top aerodynamics and high stiffness for flat road courses, time trials and triathlon. The all-carbon rim with a deep profile of 85 mm and an internal width of 23 mm is designed for low aerodynamic drag and modern wider road tyres. The rim construction supports the UST Tubeless Ready tubeless system, which allows riding at lower pressure, improving grip and comfort and reducing the risk of punctures.

The wheel is fitted with a hub for a 12×100 mm thru axle with an aluminium axle and ceramic bearings for smooth running with minimal rolling resistance. The brake rotor is mounted using the Center Lock standard. The lacing consists of 21 straight flat aero spokes tested in a wind tunnel to achieve the lowest possible rotational drag. On the more heavily loaded rotor side the spokes are crossed twice, while on the opposite side the lacing is radial, which ensures an optimal balance of spoke tension, overall stability and a long service life.
