Michelin CITY TOURING tyre 26x2.20 PERFORMANCE LINE wire (black)

MICHELIN City Touring 26 × 2.20 tyre – Performance Line, wire bead (126066)

The MICHELIN City Touring Performance Line is a quality and durable bicycle tyre designed for comfortable and reliable riding in the city and on touring routes. Thanks to its universal tread, wide 2.20" profile and proven wire-bead construction, it offers a balanced combination of comfort, stability and efficient rolling on asphalt roads, cycle paths and paved paths.

The tyre is suitable mainly for city, trekking, touring and recreational bikes with 26" wheels. It serves well for everyday commuting to work, riding around town, weekend trips and longer cycle touring routes.

The universal touring tread is adapted especially to hard surfaces, where it supports smooth rolling and secure steering. It also provides the necessary grip on poorer asphalt, cobbles and lightly unpaved paths. This makes the tyre a practical choice for cyclists who switch between different surface types on a single ride.

The Performance Line product line offers a good balance of ride characteristics, durability and purchase price. It is intended for regular use and is a reliable alternative for cyclists who prefer practicality, comfort and long-term usability.

The rigid wire bead ensures stable seating of the tyre on a compatible rim. This proven construction is suited to everyday use and offers a robust solution for city and touring cycling.

An important strength is the width of 2.20", which provides a larger air volume and helps absorb vibration and small road bumps. The wider profile contributes to a more comfortable ride, better stability and more secure steering, especially on cobbles, damaged asphalt or paved gravel paths.

The size 26 × 2.20" is also suitable for converting older mountain bikes into a comfortable city or touring bike, provided the tyre is compatible with the rim and there is enough room for it in the frame and fork.
