The Mavic Ksyrium S rear road built wheel for rim brakes is a reliable and stiff solution for training and sporty rides. The rim made of lightweight and durable Maxtal aluminium alloy has a depth of 22 mm and an internal width of 19 mm, which provides stable support for modern wider road tyres. The Fore technology integrates the nipples directly into the lower bridge of the rim, so the upper wall stays continuous and the wheel is ready for the UST Tubeless system as well as for use with a classic inner tube.
The rear lacing consists of 20 flat, double-butted steel spokes with Isopulse lacing, which equalises the tension between the cassette side and the opposite side for efficient power transfer and high stiffness when pedalling. The hub is fitted with play-free industrial QRM Auto bearings and an Instant Drive 360 freewheel body with ratchet engagement, which ensures fast response to every push on the pedals.
