The Cinturato Velo is a new Tubeless-Ready tyre from Pirelli, designed for maximum durability and ride comfort, without an unwanted impact on performance riding characteristics.

KEY FEATURES

Pirellis experience and the reliability of SmartNET™ Silica rubber compound technology combined with the comfort of tubeless-ready tyres and the durability of Armour Tech™ technology made it possible to develop a new tyre with a unique DNA, perfect for long rides in varied terrain and on different surfaces.

The patented Armour Tech™ construction combines the components listed below with different functions, placed in the tyre in order from the inside out and forming a superstructure of the nylon casing with a thread density of 60 TPI:

• A high-density layer of nylon thread running from bead to bead, protecting against cuts. It also improves stability when riding at low tyre pressures and contributes to an airtight seating of the tyre in the bead when used with liquid sealant.
• A safety belt of braided high-density aramid fibre is placed under the tread and provides protection against punctures and cuts from sharp objects.
• Aramid particles dispersed directly in the rubber compound (SmartNET™ Silica), which is in two layers: an outer layer (cap) tasked with excellent riding characteristics (grip in dry and wet, long mileage, feel of the surface) and an inner layer (base) that slows the penetration of foreign objects into the lower layers thanks to the greater concentration of aramid particles in it.

The bead of the Cinturato Velo tyre was designed for maximum compatibility and airtightness with tubeless-ready rims, as well as for easy mounting with or without an inner tube (tubeless-ready).
