Fulcrum built wheels Red metal 5 29 Boost XD

Red Metal 5 is our new wheel designed specifically for trail and all-mountain use.

From training to racing, these wheels are perfect companions for all kinds of situations, including descents and technical sections where durability is key.

The new hubs have the same shell as the hubs used in the Red Zone Carbon and Red Zone 3 wheels. The differences lie in the axle and bearings: in the Red Metal 5 hubs we used sealed, long-lasting and efficient bearings that can be micro-adjusted with a specific adjusting ring. The Red Metal 5 wheels come with a 2-WAY FIT READY rim only 18.6 mm high and a new asymmetric section, redesigned specifically to ensure optimal balance of spoke tension.

The rim is wider than in previous versions, so it can be used at lower pressure for better grip and control in the most extreme conditions.

A tone-on-tone design with a partly glossy and partly matte finish wraps around the rim profile around the valve area, while the traditional red box with the logo can be found on the opposite side of the rim.
