The modern 29" Mavic Crossmax built wheels for cross-country are a stiff and reliable set ready for tubeless use. The welded rims made of lightweight and strong Maxtal aluminium alloy with an internal width of 25 mm provide reliable support for modern XC tyres. The Tubeless Ready tubeless construction improves traction, bike handling off-road and reduces the risk of punctures.
The set uses lightweight aluminium Infinity hubs with a thru axle of the Boost standard (15×110 mm at the front and 12×148 mm at the rear). Smooth rolling without the need for frequent adjustment is ensured by QRM Auto industrial bearings with self-adjusting working play. Power transfer is provided by the Instant Drive 360 ratchet freehub body with fast response, compatible with Shimano HG and SRAM cassettes.
The wheels are laced with 24 straight steel spokes of the straight pull type with a flat and double-butted profile. The lacing is double-crossed on both wheels and seated in steel nipples with an ABS system that prevents the spokes from loosening by themselves while riding.
