The Mavic E-Crosstrail SL 27.5 rear built wheel is designed with the high loads and specific demands of e-bikes in mind. It combines the durability needed for e-bikes with a low rim and lacing weight, which ensures great handling and dynamic response.

The basis is a 30 mm rim made of Maxtal alloy with a profile depth of 22 mm. The rim uses the FORE technology, where the nipples are screwed directly into the lower bridge of the rim. The upper wall of the rim thus stays continuous, there is no need to use tubeless tape and the overall stiffness of the construction increases. PFP (Pinch Flat Protection) additionally minimises the risk of pinch flats on impacts with sharp obstacles. The rim is fully compatible with the UST Tubeless Ready tubeless system.

Torque transfer is provided by the Infinity hub with a reinforced construction for e-bikes and an aluminium thru axle of the Boost 12×148 mm standard. The QRM Auto industrial bearings adjust themselves automatically and keep smooth running without any play developing. The Instant Drive 360 engagement mechanism provides instant engagement and is fitted with a SRAM XD freehub body.

The lacing consists of 28 straight, flat steel spokes with a tapered profile, laced with triple crossing, which gives the wheel high torsional stiffness during acceleration and hard braking.
