The Mavic E-DEEMAX S 27.5 rear built wheel is designed specifically for the high loads and demands of modern e-bikes (E-MTB). The basis is a durable aluminium Maxtal alloy rim with a depth of 22 mm and an internal width of 30 mm. The rim is lightened by patented ISM milling to reduce rim weight while keeping high strength, and has a protective Black Shield surface treatment, which effectively protects the surface against scratches from flying stones.

The PFP (Pinch Flat Protection) technology, thanks to the extended rim sidewalls, significantly reduces the risk of pinch flats even on hard impacts off-road. The wide centre channel of the rim makes it easier to mount even the stiffest tyres in the UST Tubeless Ready tubeless design. The threaded Fore nipple attachment with integrated aluminium nipples also keeps the upper bridge of the rim continuous and sealed, so the wheel requires no tubeless tape installation.

The wheel is fitted with a hub for a Boost 12×148 mm thru axle and Center Lock® brake disc mounting. Fast and reliable power transfer is provided by the Instant Drive 360 ratchet freewheel mechanism with a Shimano Micro Spline freehub body for 12-speed cassettes. Smooth running is ensured by QRM Auto industrial sealed bearings with self-adjusting play. The lacing consists of 28 straight flat steel spokes with an anti-rotation system, triple-crossed for maximum stability.
