The Mid version of the Tallac flagship brings even more technology, protection and support. The raised construction around the ankle has D3O smart foam inserts sewn in on the inner and outer side of the ankle. The Mid version received a new fastening system, which is not just another one that integrates BOA into itself – here BOA itself took part in integrating their PerformFit™ Wrap system. It also newly has D3O protection sewn in, so even the top of the foot is protected against rocks and other hazards.

The upper made of Cordura® is breathable and lightweight, yet incredibly durable. Cordura is used where high abrasion resistance is required.

Almost no seams were used – everything is thoroughly welded. The reason is, again, resistance to damage and water penetration.

Fastening with hook-and-loop and a BOA dial with a lifetime guarantee. The BOA at the top and the hook-and-loop strap at the bottom ensure properly distributed foot tightening and at the same time make getting the shoe on and off as easy as possible. The tongue is elastically attached to the shoe construction so that it stays in place and prevents dirt from getting in.

Ride Concepts is the only manufacturer to use D3O technology across several models. Everyone surely knows D3O from bike protective gear (Race Face, Bluegrass…). The insole has integrated D3O protectors in the heel and toe footstrike area to protect against impacts or an under-jumped double and the resulting heel stomp. Thanks to D3O the foot is less tired and less prone to bruising. You will not find this technology anywhere else!

Clip Grip sole with a distinctive pattern inspired by hiking footwear. The front and rear sections are adapted for grip when walking the trail downhill and uphill, with a distinctive extension into the toe and heel. The Clip Grip sole compound is used on models designed for SPD and has an ideal ratio of grip, durability and stiffness for forward power transfer. The result of development with Rubber Kinetics (Good Year). A 42 mm wide and extremely long cleat box for absolute certainty of clipping into the pedal in every situation. An inserted plastic shank under the cleat position as additional support for the sole.
