The carbon 29" Mavic Crossmax S Carbon built wheels are designed for racing cross-country and fast trail riding. Thanks to Adaptive Layup technology, the layup of the 100% UD carbon in the rim is precisely optimised – the material is reinforced where the spokes attach and lightened in less stressed areas, which brings excellent lateral stiffness and dynamic response at low weight.

Rims with a modern internal width of 30 mm give wider tyres stable support and are fully compatible with the UST Tubeless Ready tubeless system. The rims are connected to the Mavic Infinity hubs by 24 bent steel spokes (J-bend) on each wheel, which means high strength and trouble-free availability of spare parts during routine servicing.

Smooth running without frequent adjustment is provided by the sealed QRM Auto bearings with self-adjusting play compensation. The rear hub is fitted with an Instant Drive 360 ratchet freehub body with quick engagement and easy maintenance without special tools. Mavic also provides a lifetime warranty on the carbon rims after online registration.
