To fit tubeless tyres a strong blast of air is needed so that the tyre bead seats in the rim and the tyre is thereby sealed. "Depending on the tyre–rim combination this does not always succeed with existing pumps," notes Peter Krischio, Schwalbe product manager Race. In a professional workshop, or at a pump station, a compressor helps.

For secure and simple fitting without a compressor Schwalbe now introduces the Tire Booster, created in cooperation with the British start-up Airshot. With it a pressure of up to 11 bar can be delivered into the tyre at once. "This makes the tyre seat in the rim immediately and seal well," says Peter Krischio. "The Tire Booster is a great advantage for tubeless fitting. With its 435 grams it is easy to carry." Anyone who needs even higher pressure can use a special adapter. After unscrewing the valve core and fitting the adapter the maximum direct air flow is achieved.

And this is how it works: after connecting an ordinary car pump to the valve and pressurising the bottle, opening the quick valve lets air into the tyre where it is immediately distributed evenly. The tyre, usually with a typical click, seats firmly in the rim.
