New for the 2023 season. The AWALON 27.5 2023 mountain e-bike with an aluminium frame, sporty design, suspension front fork, disc brakes and 27.5“ wheels.

The novelty is a fully integrated frame battery with powerful LG cells with a capacity of 20Ah (720Wh). Another plus is the fast charger with a charging current of 3A, which significantly shortens the battery charging time. The e-bike is equipped with a Bafang M420 mid-drive motor with a nominal output of 250W and a max. output of 550W. Among other things, this motor can boast a high torque that can reach up to 80 Nm, and it is equipped with a pedalling torque sensor. This means that the harder the cyclist pedals, the more the motor helps. The Bafang M420 electric motor quickly ranked among the established mid-drive units, mainly thanks to its quality workmanship. It also stands out for very smooth running, above-average climbing performance and quiet running. The system is controlled by a colour LCD display and a button controller mounted on the handlebars.

The clear colour LCD display shows the following functions:

• choice of 5 assistance modes
• WALK function (walking speed – used e.g. when pushing the bike up a steep hill)
• display of current, maximum and average speed
• kilometres ridden: single ride / total distance travelled
• day and night mode (display backlight)
• battery charge level indicator
• USB port for charging a phone

The charger and the battery are included in the package.

The range of an e-bike depends on various factors: the weight of the rider and cargo, the riders physical fitness, the style and nature of riding, the technical condition of the bike, temperature, wind direction and strength, the elevation profile of the route and the nature of the terrain (rough surface, hilly terrain, frequent starting from a standstill, etc. reduce the range).

If shifted incorrectly (using "heavy" gears on climbs), the control unit may overheat in extreme conditions.

The Awalon 27.5" 2023 model complies with EU standard 15194/2017.

Leader Fox e-bikes are developed and assembled exclusively in the Czech Republic.
