The Apache Hupahu MX1 510 e-bike takes you even further and higher than youre used to. Discover the magic of the mountains from the saddle of your e-bike. Its in the hills where youll appreciate the extra-strong Bafang M510 motor with a maximum torque of 95 Nm and a high-capacity 840 Wh battery, which the 3A charger recharges to full capacity in 7 hours. The whole e-bike system runs at 48 V, increasing battery efficiency and offering up to ¼ more range than conventional 36 V systems. If you decide to charge the battery off the bike, it can easily be removed and carried wherever needed. Reliable and smooth shifting is handled by a clean Shimano 1×9-speed groupset.

We fit Apache e-bikes with the closed Bafang system – motor, battery, display, controller, electrical cables and charger all from one company (similar to the BOSCH system). The complete Bafang system has been extensively tested and certified by the manufacturer as a functional unit that works much better together, more stably and with higher performance and range than when assembled from components by different manufacturers.

Bafang M510 mid-drive motor

Tough climbs and difficult terrain – thats where the Bafang M510 feels at home. Used mainly on high-performance e-bikes, the motor gives the rider extreme assistance on steep climbs and technical sections. Despite the M510s high output, riding is pleasantly smooth and natural thanks to the torque sensor, which regulates motor output according to the force and intensity of your pedalling. Smoothness is further helped by a gear sensor, which lets the system evaluate assistance more sensitively, even when shifting on a climb. The intelligent SMART MODE system ensures smooth starts and automatically adjusts the assistance level according to rider output. The motor body has a pleasingly sporty look, helped by the use of a magnesium housing, which brought the weight down to just 2.9 kg.

Bafang BT F311 battery 840 Wh

Using the original Bafang battery makes the whole system more efficient than batteries from other manufacturers. The e-bike therefore works more reliably and offers more power and a longer range. A protective cover is also included to prevent mechanical damage to the battery.

New and a big benefit of the Bafang 840 Wh batteries is their 48 V architecture. Compared with 36 V batteries, the main advantage is a larger energy reserve at the same battery capacity. The whole system is also subject to a lower current load, so the motor uses energy more efficiently and heats up less.

Bafang C18 LCD display

The elegant, modern display design effectively shows key riding data on a high-contrast LCD screen. This type of display is readable at any time of day and reliably communicates important information even in direct sunlight. Thanks to quality seals, Bafang LCD displays are IP65-rated and built to withstand tough conditions. The USB output at the back is for connecting an external device, which can be charged while the system is switched on.
